Attorney Eisenstadt, a founding partner of the law firm of Eisenstadt & Krippendorf Group, LLP, handles all types of criminal cases throughout the Superior Courts, Municipals Courts, and District Courts of Massachusetts. Prior to joining the firm of Eisenstadt & Krippendorf Group, LLP, Attorney Joseph Eisenstadt worked as an Assistant Massachusetts Attorney General and Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney.

As an Assistant Attorney General, he prosecuted white-collar, environmental, narcotics, and computer crimes in the district and superior courts throughout Massachusetts. Attorney Eisenstadt handled cases from the Environmental Crimes Strike Force, the Public Corruption and Fraud Unit, and the Enterprise and Major Crime Division. Attorney Eisenstadt regularly successfully presented cases to Grand Juries throughout the state. His cases included allegations of employee fraud, embezzlement, larceny of electronic data, witness intimidation, organized conspiracies, narcotics trafficking, and violations of the clean air, clean water, and hazardous waste statutes. While with the Attorney General’s Office, Attorney Eisenstadt handled large-scale criminal matters in the District and Superior Courts throughout Massachusetts.

Before working as an Assistant Attorney General, Attorney Eisenstadt worked for years as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County in the Municipal and Superior Courts. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Boston Municipal Court, he handled a caseload including hundreds of misdemeanors and felonies, prosecuting cases including assaults, charges of assault and battery, OUI and DUI, narcotics distribution, school zone violations, firearm possession, larceny, credit card fraud, and identity fraud. Attorney Eisenstadt spent several years as a Superior Court prosecutor assigned to the Major Felony and Gang Units. As a Superior Court prosecutor, Attorney Eisenstadt handled matters including firearm charges, drug trafficking, shootings, stabbings, attempted murder, and motor vehicle homicide.

As a prosecutor, Attorney Eisenstadt has handled cases ranging from motor vehicle offenses such as Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (OUI) to life felonies such as Armed Robbery and Assault with Intent to Murder. Attorney Eisenstadt has years of experience handling all court proceedings including hearings, arraignments, grand jury proceedings, plea negotiations, motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, and bench and jury trials.

In 2010, Attorney Eisenstadt was one of the founding partners of the firm of Eisenstadt & Krippendorf Group, LLP. The founders of the firm, Joseph Eisenstadt, William Galvin, and Edward Krippendorf were all assistant district attorneys. They decided to take their skills, knowledge, and experience into private practice in order to help those in need of legal help and representation.

Attorney Eisenstadt received his law degree from Emory University where he graduated with high honors. While at Emory, he was awarded numerous honors including the Agnor Scholarship for Academic Merit, the West Publishing Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement, and numerous Dean’s Awards. He was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation. Attorney Eisenstadt has had pieces published in the Massachusetts Law Review and the Boston Herald. Attorney Eisenstadt has been asked to speak on the subject of criminal law and criminal defense at the Massachusetts Center for Continuing Legal Education and at Boston University. He is a member of the Massachusetts State Council of the Humane Society of the United States and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
